Making of Arowana
I added a rim of gold to the scales and did the highlights to the lateral line.
You could polish the eyes really good to give a lively effect, or a tiny bit murky for an ancient look. To acquire the eyeball effect, the eye disc had to be painted in the correct sequence. On the inside surface, a dark circle was placed in the centre with clean border. A small ring of yellow or maybe golden surrounded the black. The border of this ring was thinned and blurred. Another ring of red was airbrushed atop with the border blurred again. Then the whole inside surface and the disc rim was painted with black. A final silvery color matching the head was put onto the rim portion.
To enhance the effect even more, a couple of clear varnish could be sprayed on. A thin wash of pearl blue on the scales and fins added extra charm.
